since 1981, risingoaks early learning (formerly owl child care services of ontario) has evolved from a single centre to eight centres co-located within the waterloo catholic district school board (wcdsb) and 11 before and after school youth development program (ydp) locations within the waterloo region district school board (wrdsb). rebranding is part of that evolution and helps us to differentiate within a very competitive market as we focus on a new and improved brand strategy so that we can more clearly communicate our values and brand promise – and to ensure that we are delivering on those promises, providing the highest quality early learning and care for children.what does all this mean to you? the new risingoaks early learning ontario brand is launched with a focus on learn, grow, play as the foundation of the brand strategy.
after extensive research and collaboration, the members approved a special resolution to change the name of the corporation to risingoaks early learning ontario and direct the board to proceed with the transition. led by the founders, owl is officially incorporated and gets a new name: owl child care services of ontario. in doing so, the new board of directors acquired owl’s centres and programs from the previous owners.

every program at our centre shares a new story each month, so be sure to check back often! part of this project is expressing our emotions – something that we continue to work on daily. since our group enjoys lego®, we thought that it would be a good idea to incorporate it in this learning. jaidyn said, “when i see my cat after a long day it makes me so happy.” theo expressed that when his family goes on vacation it makes him very excited. projects evolve based on the children’s interests, where our educators act as co-learners.
