let’s think about what we do with preschoolers and how we can adjust our lessons to meet their needs in today’s environment. the way you use the technology and lead teaching on the screen makes a difference. and, if you make a mistake, regroup and continue on – just like you do when you are teaching in-person lessons. the first thing you’re going to want to do in any virtual lesson is to acknowledge the feelings and emotions of your students and provide them with the support and guidance to help them recognize these emotions. you’re getting kids to communicate and express and you can help talk them through things.

these activities use only everyday materials or the materials i have sent home in a remote learning materials pack. you may decide on a more frequent schedule for your students, remember to do what works for you and your students. don’t forget to include the schedule you plan on following and what they can expect from you. send caregivers an email with a link to the video and a lesson plan full of preschool activities that coordinate with the book. please note the video is not linked as i use my students’ names in it, and i do not make them public.
