i am a substitute teacher this year and will be full time next year. in our toddler room (ages 1-2) we have a few children that have been our more physical children pushing/hitting/biting but nothing completely out of the ordinary for this age group.
the physical children are becoming much more so and our typically non biting children are resorting to biting when in conflict with other children. just these past few days, i’ve had to stop several bites and one child (who has had a few parent conferences due to aggressiveness) grabbing others by the neck/head and hurting them when they’re playing with something the child wants. our school year ends friday (thank gosh) but for next year, i’d like to ask if anyone has encountered such a regression and tips for handling it.
